The footballers of 1. FC Union Berlin are on a special flight from German Airways to their training camp. The athletes and their support staff flew from Berlin to Murcia in Spain on flight number ZQ966.

The Embraer 190 with the registration D-APRI was used. This bears an advertising sticker for the Leysieffer chocolate manufacturer. This was taken over by Zeitfracht some time ago and is therefore a sister company of German Airways. Said regional jet was transferred from Cologne/Bonn to Berlin-Brandenburg before the charter flight.

On the Costa Blanca, the athletes can optimally prepare for the coming months of play in the Bundesliga over the next few days. With temperatures averaging 14 degrees in January, the region offers perfect conditions for intensive training. The place east of Murcia is already familiar to the iron ones: before the Corona break, Union had already completed a winter training camp in Campoamor.
