The airline German Airways gives its Embraer 190 so-called Zorro masks. The D-AMWO is the first machine to have a black frame around the cockpit window. The entire fleet is to be gradually given this design.

Said aircraft was leased to Ego Airways under a dry lease agreement. The Zeitfracht subsidiary fetched this Embraer 190 back a few weeks ago and registered it in Germany as D-AMWO. Since the livery of the former lessee was painted on, German Airways had an appointment at the paint shop in the Netherlands.

The jet will be back on line from mid-May and until then will be used to train pilots in London City for the challenging approach to the city center airport of the British capital: On Wednesday, the D-AMWO will be leaving Cologne/Bonn Airport again in the direction of Great Britain.

“The German Airways team did a great job in retrieving our Embraer and transferring it to Germany. We are glad that we now have our aircraft back home and look forward to using it with one of our new customers. Then the D-AMWO will also receive its final painting,” says Managing Director Maren Wolters.
