The ground staff of Air France-KLM stationed in Germany are called to go on strike on Friday, November 25, 2022 from 6:00 a.m. to 22:00 p.m. Frankfurt am Main, Munich, Düsseldorf, Hanover, Hamburg and Berlin are affected.
According to Verdi, the freight division is mainly affected, so that no effects on passenger flights are expected. The background to the industrial action is that the collective wage agreement was terminated on December 31, 2015 and no new one has been concluded since then. The employee representatives are of the opinion that the current table values would still correspond to those from 2013.
The warning strike is intended to put pressure on the management of Air France-KLM. The employee representatives emphasize that there have been no salary increases for around ten years and that there would therefore be a real wage loss of 12 percent. The latest price increases would therefore affect the German ground workers particularly badly.
