The buffet in the Skylounge at Vienna International Airport has been open again since May 19, 2021. The dishes on offer now come from caterer Donhauser. Both the choice and the quality of the meals have improved significantly.

Another effect is that the new restaurant company employs more staff who are subjectively perceived to be omnipresent. The DoN employees are constantly filling up the buffet, clearing up used dishes and disinfecting the tables and contact areas at the buffet so that visitors can perceive them.

At first glance, not much has changed visually in the Skylounge. At second glance, however, you can see the extensive range of drinks and meals. There are now more alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. A kind of small self-service bar was even set up for the latter. Various wines are on offer right next to it.

The menu now includes several hot and cold meals, small snacks, fruit and various desserts. For example boiled beef, vegetables, potato pancakes and two soups were offered. In terms of taste, the change to Donhauser brought a palatable improvement. All in all, Vienna Airport, in cooperation with DoN, was able to give the Skylounge a culinary upgrade. One can only hope that after the reopening of the other exclusive waiting areas, the level can be maintained.
