On behalf of TUI, the airline European Air Charter started a non-stop connection from Graz to Heraklion on Wednesday. Rhodes follows on Thursday. The frequency on the charter routes is to be increased in the coming weeks.

“Today we are starting the summer season in Graz with our plane to Crete. I am very pleased that we are continuing our cooperation with our proven partners European Air Charter and Graz Airport. The topic of safety is in the foreground when planning your vacation this year. This also includes the shortest possible journey. We have therefore increased our summer program from Graz and are now offering 15 flights a week to Greece, Mallorca, Cyprus, Turkey and Egypt. As a Styrian, I appreciate it when I can get on a vacation plane in Graz. In addition to established holiday destinations such as Crete or Mallorca, we also have new holiday destinations such as Zakynthos, Karpathos and Cyprus in our program. Nothing stands in the way of a relaxed and carefree holiday ”, says Tui Austria boss Gottfried Math.

“The European Air Charter jets have been regular guests in Styria since 2014. We look forward to returning today and connecting Graz Airport six times a week (daily from August) to the most popular holiday regions on the Mediterranean. With Greece and Cyprus, together with our tour operator partners, we are banking on absolute trend destinations this summer, ”informs Thomas Simandl, General Manager Austria International Carrier Consult GmbH (General Sales Agent of European Air Charter).

From the end of June, these holiday trips will not only be carried out by Tui, but also by the tour operators Alltours, Billa Reisen, Jahn Reisen, FTI, Schauinsland Reisen in cooperation with European Air Charter. In addition to Heraklion and Rhodes, Paros, Skiathos and Naxos are already being flown from Graz. In the coming weeks, the offer in Greece will be expanded to include Karpathos, Corfu, Kos and Zakynthos.
