There will be no short-term comeback of the Irish low-cost airline Ryanair at Graz Airport. The winter flight schedule 2023/24 is being discussed as the earliest possible start date. Meanwhile, the low coster will soon be taking off again from Klagenfurt.

In the summer of 2022, Ryanair surprised during a press conference by saying that they were in talks with Graz Airport about a possible comeback. At that time was London-Stansted mentioned as a possible destination. The summer timetable for 2023 was the earliest possible start date.

According to the current state of affairs, there will be no Ryanair flights from Graz Airport, at least in the warm season of the coming year. The airport confirmed this to the Kleine Zeitung and the Irish low-cost airline also confirmed this to Aviation.Direct.

According to Ryanair, this does not mean that a possible comeback in Graz is off the table. The talks will continue. The earliest possible start time in the capital of Styria is now the winter timetable 2023/24. The low coster did not want to comment on possible routes.

Ryanair returns to Klagenfurt after many years

Ryanair will be in Klagenfurt in early November 2022 after many years of absence celebrate the comeback. The destinations London-Stansted, Charleroi and Dublin are included first. Shortly before Christmas 2022, a fourth goal will be added with Manchester. The low-cost airline also wants to be active from the provincial capital of Carinthia in the 2023 summer flight schedule.

What is currently fixed is that the Stansted route will also be offered in the warm season of the coming year. A few days ago, Ryanair approved sales on this route for the 2023 summer schedule. Two weekly rotations are planned, which are to be carried out on the traffic days Monday and Friday.

The three other destinations are, at least for the time being, limited to the 2022/23 winter timetable. Ryanair says London-Stansted will not be the only destination in the summer of 2023. The Klagenfurt plans are currently being finalized and the Carinthian summer flight plan for 2023 will be communicated shortly. The low coster didn't want to look any deeper into the cards.
