The first investors are said to be interested in Frankfurt-Hahn Airport. Treasury administrator Jan Markus Plathner announced that potential buyers will be sought internationally.

The operating company got caught up in the maelstrom of the bankruptcy of the majority owner HNA and had to file for bankruptcy itself. According to administrator Plathner, a solution is now to be found as part of an international investor process. In particular, the regional airport's creditors should benefit from this.

Flight operations are to be continued. The insolvent HNA Group holds 82,5 percent of Frankfurt-Hahn Airport. The German state of Hesse is a minority shareholder with a 17,5 percent share.
