Hainan Airlines wants to reactivate Shanghai-Brussels

After a break of more than five years, Hainan Airlines plans to reactivate the non-stop connection between Shanghai and Brussels in June 2024. This has been paused since 2019 and has not been reactivated to date.

Hainan Airlines already has a presence in Brussels, having reactivated the Beijing route following the lifting of Chinese travel restrictions. Now the Shanghai route is aiming for a comeback. There had previously been meetings at diplomatic level between representatives of Belgium and the People's Republic of China.
