Britain's new long-haul airline took delivery of its first Airbus A330-200 this week.
However, she does not yet have an air operator certificate (AOC). The A330-200 arrived in Birmingham from Palma de Mallorca where it will undergo routine inspections and formalities. But before he starts working for Hans Airways, he has to go to Mallorca again to inspect and settle customs matters.
The aircraft belongs to Carlyle Aviation Partners and is 13,5 years old. The aircraft was previously in service with Air Europa and will be operated by Hans Airways in a two-cabin configuration with 275 economy and 24 premium economy seats. The machine has received the registration number G-KJAS. The airline wants to offer flights to India with the long-haul jet.
