The UK's largest airport, London Heathrow, is extending the daily cap on departing passengers introduced a few weeks ago until the end of October 2022.

Due to an acute shortage of staff at the airport and local service providers, Heathrow management decided to limit the number of passengers who are allowed to use this airport every day to limit. The measure was originally limited to September 11, 2022, but was quickly extended until the end of September 2022.

Since there is currently no prospect of a short-term improvement, the "cap" is being extended until the end of October 2022. However, at the same time, it is reserved that this could be lifted prematurely. Homebase carrier British Airways has canceled around 2022 flights by October 10.300 and restricted ticket sales.
