The airline Helvetic Airways expects that there will also be high demand in autumn 2023 and that the entire fleet will be in use. All employees are to receive a bonus of 500 Swiss francs on top of their August wages.

Company boss Tobias Pogorevc explained to the newspaper “Blick” that sole owner Martin Ebner had agreed to this measure “immediately”. It is emphasized that this is not a bonus, but an extraordinary reward that should be given to all employees, regardless of their position.

Last Wednesday, Helvetic Airways took delivery of aircraft number 18 in the fleet. The number of aircraft with this provider is now as extensive as never before. In addition to flights under their own brand from Zurich and Bern, they also operate for tour operators in charter and for Swiss in wet lease. The additional aircraft is a used Embraer 190 that was taken over in Poland.

In the 2023/24 winter flight schedule, things are set to calm down a bit at Helvetic Airways. Pogorevc confirmed to Blick that the entire fleet is not available due to upcoming maintenance work. You will mainly fly for Swiss and for tour operators. There will be no scheduled flights for your own account in winter 2023/24.

According to the current state of affairs, 2024 Embraer jets are to be used for the 16 summer flight schedule. You will also be able to offer one or the other route at your own expense. The "reduction" results from the fact that two older machines will be separated again.
