The regional airline Helvetic Airways is adding two leased Embraer 190s to its fleet. These will be recorded at the end of May or beginning of June 2023. Thus, the carrier will have 18 aircraft.

The two Embraer 190 will carry the registrations HB-JVX and HB-JVY. According to Helvetic, these are around ten years old. Lessor is True Noord. The two regional jets have 112 seats and are therefore identical to the existing four examples of this type.

The two new additions in the well-known Helvetic livery with the Swiss cross on the distinctive red tail and the silver-grey lettering also fit seamlessly into the fleet visually. The two aircraft will be used on Helvetic Airways' existing flight network, so no additional crews will be recruited for the two machines.

"These additional availability allow Helvetic Airways to keep the flight plan stable even under the currently challenging conditions and to guarantee customers a high level of reliability, punctuality and planning security," says Managing Director Tobias Pogorevc.

The fleet will consist of four Embraer E195-E2, eight E190-E2 and six E190. “Helvetic Airways is an outstanding Swiss regional airline with a high reputation for quality and reliability. The longstanding partnership with their ACMI customer is a testament to their value proposition and we are proud to be a Helvetic Airways leasing partner,” said Anne-Bart Tieleman, CEO of TrueNoord.
