The German travel association DRV is of the opinion that the booking figures for the autumn holidays are quite positive. Destinations in the Mediterranean are particularly in demand, but more trips with their own car are still being booked.

This year, however, it is also evident that not only the classic package travel destinations are well booked, but also destinations within Germany, Austria, Italy and the Netherlands. Cruises should also be in increased demand again. In general, many holidaymakers should buy the cancellation and rebooking options, some of which are subject to a fee.

In an analysis, the DRV also found that bookings continue to be made at short notice. The lion's share of the orders are placed in the months of September and October. In general, passengers currently book an average of four to six weeks before departure. Furthermore, trips in which you travel by your own motor vehicle are in somewhat greater demand than air travel.
