A few days ago it was announced that Heston Airlines will launch a Malta branch. This should be called Valletta Air. The external appearance should clearly stand out from the existing airline from Vilnius.

The group of companies has already managed a PR coup in advance, because there were rumors that the Maltese government could found a successor to Air Malta under the name Valletta Air. These untested rumors caught the attention of numerous media all over Europe. There was never an official confirmation from the Maltese government or Air Malta.

There is a good reason for this, because behind Valletta Air is the Lithuanian ACMI and charter provider Heston Airlines. A few days ago it became known that this launched a Malta branch. The AOC and operating license are expected to be issued in the first quarter of 2023. The number of aircraft that Valletta Air will operate in the summer of 2023 has not yet been finalized. Mavio News initially reported on the fact that the Maltese Heston start-up will be called Valletta Air.
