High LNG costs: Costa is also switching back to diesel

The shipping company Costa Cruises will also operate the two ships, which are equipped with dual-fuel drives, with marine diesel in the future. It was previously known that the sister company Aida took this step for cost reasons.

This means that the two shipping companies that belong to the Carnival Group are not unique. The Norwegian Fjord Line is having its pure LNG ships converted to dual-mode propulsion and wants to run on diesel instead of natural gas in the future for cost reasons.
