The Bulgarian holiday airline Onur Air reduced its fleet to just one Airbus A321-200. This bears the registration LZ-HEA. The two A321neo were returned to the lessor and are currently parked in Ljubljana.
The machines with the previous registrations LZ-HEH and LZ-HEI were temporarily registered by the owner as OE-IFX and OE-IFY in Austria. According to CH-Aviation.com, the LZ-HEA has not been used since December 2020 and is currently parked in Istanbul-Ataturk. Holiday Europe boss Petko Christoff told the medium that they wanted to get the remaining A321 back into the air, but the future of the company would depend on many factors.
The Bulgarian airline was founded with the major participation of the Turkish Onur Air. Before the corona pandemic, they wanted to secure access to the market within the European Union with Holiday Europe. Onur Air is now under great pressure due to the corona pandemic. Flight operations had to be restricted to a few routes. Furthermore, the Turkish short-time working model expired at the beginning of April 2021.
