The tour operator Tui is increasing the package travel offer in the direction of Egypt. Around 1.000 seats to/from Hurghada were secured with Austrian Airlines. Demand is said to be rising sharply and back to pre-crisis levels.

According to Tui, the city on the Red Sea was the best-booked destination at Easter. The 1.000 seats that have been secured at Austrian Airlines are primarily intended for autumn 2022. The company expects high demand, which could even exceed the pre-crisis level.

We have therefore decided to expand the flight capacities in the high season from Vienna to Hurghada with an additional connection on Saturday," says David Szabo, Flight and Product Manager Tui Austria. “In addition, we have already secured more than a thousand airfields for the autumn holidays. With our airline partner Austrian Holidays, we offer our guests a quality product that they like to book.”

There are a total of seven flights a week from Vienna Airport to Hurghada, three times a week from Salzburg and twice a week from Graz and Linz. Five additional connections were added to the program for the autumn holidays, of which Tui flies four special flights with Austrian Airlines on October 26, 2022.

Additional flights with Austrian Airlines:

  • 7 May – 29 October 2022: every Saturday
  • October 23, 2022: once a day
  • October 26, 2022 four times a day
