International Airlines Group is interested in acquiring TAP Air Portugal and/or Easyjet. According to a report by The Times, the purchase of the orange low-cost airline should be a priority. At the same time you try to get TAP.

It is currently still completely open whether even one of the two takeover attempts will be successful. Lufthansa is also on TAP and Air France-KLM interested, which should drive up the purchase price. Easyjet could be merged with Vueling if the project is successful. This would create the largest low-cost airline in Europe.

However, other groups of companies have tried to take over Easyjet and have not been successful. It is therefore necessary to await further developments. The low-cost airline's share price rose sharply after the advent of the IAG plans. Most recently, the International Airlines Group surprised with strong quarterly figures.
