The management of the International Airlines Group rubs their hands together. Because Air Europa gets it at a bargain price. Instead of paying the Spanish airline as originally agreed, it is not paying a billion euros, but only half. And in installments, spread over six years.

Nobody could have guessed that the world was falling into such a crisis. Not even the Air Europa managers when they confidently sat at the negotiating table in 2019 and talked about the sale of the airline. At that time the purchase price was one billion euros - a lot of money. But today the situation is completely different. Since air traffic came to a standstill for months and is slow to restart, the salespeople have practically no more arguments to put forward. But on the contrary. They seem glad that the holding company is still interested in taking over the carrier. The deal should be completed in the second half of the year, reports the Aero. The approval from Brussels is still pending.
