Spanish airline Wamos Air is ending its foray into scheduled operations and refocusing on charter and ACMI services as well as cargo flights. You have set your own route network. Iberojet will take over some routes.
Wamos Air justified the decision by saying that they want to position themselves as the Spanish market leader in their core business. The company started its own scheduled flights in the wake of the corona pandemic because otherwise the fleet would not have been able to keep itself busy. For example, Iberojet has taken over Wamos Air's flight operations between Madrid and Cancun as well as Punta Cana.
Customers who have already purchased tickets will be transported by Iberojet. According to the two companies, the conditions remain unchanged. Of course, the deal also has an advantage for Wamos Air, because Iberojet will rent machines and staff from Wamos Air, so that the economic risk of the flights to Iberojet is shifted.
