An Inter City Express caught fire in the train station at Cologne/Bonn Airport on Thursday evening. The stop was immediately closed for safety reasons. According to the fire brigade, the fire started in the area of ​​a control cabinet and is quickly spreading to a compartment.

At that time, the train was in the station, which was immediately closed. Both the Cologne city fire brigade and the company fire brigade intervened quickly and were able to extinguish the fire. The Federal Police provided the necessary security so that the passengers left the station quickly or were unable to enter it. Flight operations were not affected by the incident.
