The Icelandair airline, based in Keflavik, announced that it will no longer use Boeing 757 aircraft on its own flights in the long term. However, the airline was able to find an adequate replacement: The national carrier Iceland confirmed the successor to the 757 models with an order for 13 A321XLRs from the manufacturer Airbus.

Boeing 757 aircraft are no longer to be considered for the Icelandic airline Icelandair in the future, but a suitable successor has already been found. As the portal Austrian Wings reports, the airline has already announced the successor to the Boeing 13 aircraft with the order of 321 A757XLR from the manufacturer Airbus. However, these are not to be integrated into the fleet of the Icelandic carrier until 2029, but for the time being leased models of this type should provide a solution.
