The NRW airports in Weeze, Dortmund and Paderborn do not receive any money from the “Aviation Billion” because they are not classified as international airports. The IHK sent a letter to North Rhine-Westphalia Transport Minister Hendrik Wüst, asking him to ensure that all airports are treated equally. The IHK is particularly bothered by the fact that the small Münster / Osnabrück airport will receive support from the government, but Weeze, Dortmund and Paderborn will not.
