The US aircraft manufacturer Boeing was able to land a major order from India at the Dubai Air Show. The start-up Akasa Air, behind which the billionaire Rakesh Jhunjhunwala stands, orders 72 Boeing 737 Max.

After Ryanair and Vietjet Air, Boeing was able to win a third customer for the Boeing 737 Max 200. This is a special low-cost airline version of the Max 8. Occasionally, it is claimed that the seats should be particularly tight, but this is not noticeable for the passengers. A detailed portrait of this type of aircraft, operated by the Ryanair subsidiary Malta Air, with this link.

Akasa Air has so far not flown a mile and has repeatedly postponed the start date. The latest communication vaguely mentions “Summer 2022”. Both the standard Boeing 737 Max 8 and the 200 variant will be accepted. How many exactly of which version was not communicated. In any case, there should be 72 aircraft in total.
