The airline IndiGo has come up with an unusual advertising campaign to boost ticket sales: Anyone who can prove at least one vaccination against the coronavirus gets a ten percent discount on the basic rate.
The carrier wants to motivate the population to get vaccinated and at the same time sell more tickets. As with pretty much all promotions, the offer is of course not valid on all routes and is also limited in time according to the motto “while stocks last”. It is officially communicated that this is available on "selected routes on selected dates".
During the booking process, vaccinated persons must enter the number that can be found on their vaccination certificate. With this, IndiGo can check whether the person was actually vaccinated in India. Evidence in the form of a vaccination certificate must then be provided at the airport. This can be presented in paper form, but also in the app provided by the state. By the way: if you cheat, you should be refused boarding.
