Indian airline Indigo has received approval from the Civil Aviation Authority (DGCA) to extend wet-lease agreements for eleven Airbus A320s with Latvian airline Smartlynx.

Indigo currently leases a total of 16 A320 aircraft from Smartlynx. Wet-lease agreements allow airlines to lease aircraft including crew and maintenance, which helps to make fleet capacities more flexible. CH-Aviation.com was the first to report on the transaction.
