The Indian airline Vistara has been operating two weekly rotations between Delhi in India and Frankfurt am Main since Thursday. It is only the second destination that the carrier is heading for in Europe. The admission went against the trend: in the middle of the corona pandemic.
Vistara uses long-haul Boeing 787-9 jets on the Frankfurt route. The flights are currently offered on Thursday and Saturday. Head of the company, Leslie Thng, said that the addition of the Frankfurt route is “another important step” in terms of expanding the network.
The new Frankfurt-Delhi flights are not yet open to the general public, because the route is currently operated under the Safe Corridor Agreement between Germany and India. This means that only people who can meet the mutual requirements and - if necessary - can show a visa, are allowed to fly. Vistara's cooperation partner in Germany is Lufthansa.
