Indonesia relaxed its entry rules again on May 18. If you want to visit the popular island of Bali or other parts of the country and are fully vaccinated, you no longer have to have a corona test before entering the country.
The mandatory PCR test after arrival in Indonesia had already been abolished on April 11, but since then a previous test has had to be presented upon entry. As of today, however, this rule has been lifted in the popular holiday destination, as the Check24 website states. Travelers with full corona vaccination protection can come to Bali and all other regions of Indonesia without any additional tests.
From now on, corona tests are not required before or after arrival when entering Indonesia. However, vaccination is still an entry requirement for everyone over the age of 18: only those who have been vaccinated twice are allowed to enter Indonesia. The only exceptions are for people who can prove that they cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons. The vaccination status can be proven upon entry by the EU digital COVID certificate, which Indonesia has accepted since May 11th. Also on May 18th, Indonesia will drop the mask requirement that has been in force in the open air.
