Since the beginning of the month, stricter rules apply to domestic flights from the mainland to the Greek islands. The Ministry of Health is now extending these measures until July 15.
Before that, a CoV self-test was enough for visitors to get past the controls. However, those times have passed since July 5th. Travelers aged twelve and over who want to cross from the mainland to one of the Greek islands must present a negative PCR test that is no more than 72 hours old or a negative antigen rapid test that is no more than 24 hours old when boarding. Alternatively, the usual applies: The presentation of a complete immunization at least 14 days ago as well as proof of recovery are also accepted, as reported by new.gtp.gr.
A further extension of these measures cannot be ruled out due to the rapidly spreading delta virus variant.
