Croatian airline Trade Air is again postponing the resumption of subsidized domestic flights. This is the fourth delay within a few months.

Trade Air now names August 15, 2022 as the new date from August 1, 2022 to be flown again within Croatia with a rented Saab 340. Beginning of May 2022 the PSO flights have been discontinued, as there has been no new agreement between the state and the carrier.

The government has severely delayed the selection process, in which only Croatia Airlines and Trade Air took part anyway. It was hoped that other airlines would also apply for the subsidized routes. However, this was not fulfilled, so that the two carriers were awarded the contract again. So far, however, the new contracts have not yet been signed. According to Trade Air, this should be the reason for the date for the resumption, which has already been postponed four times.

Using the example of Greece this article is about explicitly with the topic of public service flights (PSO).
