The short-time work ends on June 30, 2020. The construction projects are now to be continued as planned.
While the Corona-related short-time work expires on June 30, planning work for the general renovation of the runway at Innsbruck Airport will resume at the beginning of next month. This was decided unanimously at yesterday's supervisory board meeting.
The aim is to meet the originally planned date in autumn 2021 (mid-September to mid-October). And this despite the fact that everything has been postponed by a few months due to the pandemic. In the case of the second major project, the new construction of the terminal building, there was also agreement yesterday on how to report. Nevertheless, one does not want to press the accelerator too quickly and wait to see how the flight and travel industry develops in the next one to two years, says airport boss DI Marco Pernetta.
Nevertheless, there are rejections: It was decided to revoke the architecture competition that had only begun at the beginning of this year.
