The airline Air Belgium has been given a four-month extension by the responsible court in order to reach an agreement with the creditors. This is reported by the Belgian media, citing an internal employee circular.

The deadline would actually have expired on January 22, 2024. The company is currently undergoing legal restructuring proceedings. The passenger flights are at your own expense was given up some time ago. Around 11.000 passengers who are entitled to a refund for tickets they have already paid for are affected. The court granted Air Belgium an extended deadline up to and including May 13, 2024.

By then, the company must submit a restructuring plan agreed with the creditors. The internal circular, from which the Belgian media quotes, states, among other things, that the negotiations are supposedly progressing well. Some agreements would have led to the debt level falling by around three million euros.
