Iceland is setting the course for winter tourism and opening its doors to ex-corona patients. In future, they will be able to enter the country without any problems without the threat of self-isolation.

Easier entry rules will apply from December 10th. Accordingly, travelers from abroad who already have antibodies against Sars-CoV-2 can enter the country freely. You do not have to submit a negative corona test or be in quarantine. The government is demanding that the previous infection be confirmed by a laboratory in the European Economic Area or the European Free Trade Association. Alternatively, the confirmation of an epidemiologist in Iceland is also valid, such as rnd.de reported.

So far, all those entering the country had to show a negative test - despite this, they also met the 14-day quarantine obligation, which could only be ended prematurely after five days with a further negative corona test.
