On July 19, 2022, the Isle of MTV Malta is scheduled to take place again in Floriana, Maltese, which is located near the capital Valletta. The festival had to pause for two years due to the corona pandemic.

Immediately afterwards, the MTV Malta Music Week will take place from 19 to 24 July 2022. Numerous parties are planned in various bars and clubs throughout the national territory. DJ Marshmello will be the headliner.

The TV station MTV will broadcast the festival live in 19 countries on July 2022, 180. The event is considered a special magnet for Maltese tourism, which has been extremely “poor in parties” for the past two years due to the pandemic.

"While we are slowly but surely returning to normal after two years due to the pandemic, I am confident that Isle of MTV's return to Malta will be another opportunity to showcase Malta's diversity of culture and entertainment to the world. The festival's return to Malta is a seal of quality for our country's tourism industry. Events of this caliber bring us much closer to our ultimate goal of making Malta a hub for quality tourism in the Mediterranean,” said Tourism Minister Clayton Bartolo.

Tickets are not required for the Isle of MTV Malta. Admission is free. On May 2, 2022, Malta raises the Mask requirement almost completely. The mouth and nose only have to be covered in airplanes, hospitals and old people’s homes.
