In Israel, the vaccination campaigns are progressing faster than in almost any other country. But the government tightened the entry rules. And now it is also targeting vaccinated people.

Because from the beginning of next week, vaccinated persons will also have to prove upon entry that they are not infected with the Covid-19 pathogen. The corresponding test must not be older than 72 hours. The responsible Ministry of Health informed about this in the night on Wednesday. Furthermore, the applicable Corona regulation requires a new test after arrival. If this is also negative, the vaccinated do not have to go into quarantine. This extends the already strict Corona regulations. For a few days now, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has paralyzed air traffic to Israel, almost completely isolating the country from the outside world. In the nine-million-inhabitant country around 3,6 million people have received an initial vaccination so far, reports the ORF. Of these, about 2,2 million also received the second dose.
