The maximum entry level of 3.000 people per day set by the government of Israel has been overturned by the court. The judges justified the decision, among other things, with the fact that the order violates fundamental rights. So this restriction was lifted on Sunday.
Only residents of Israel can benefit from this decision, as foreigners can only enter the country to a very limited extent. According to the government, more flights are now to be allowed, but the daily number should be based on the daily test capacity at Ben Gurion Airport. Eilat-Ramon Airport is currently served almost exclusively in domestic traffic.
How it will go with the entry restrictions in Israel is still unclear. Parliamentary elections will take place on Tuesday. During the pandemic, the airports were open multiple times closed to international traffic. Israel is now very far advanced in terms of vaccinations and serves with the "Green pass“Also as a model for Europe.
