Despite the global omicron outbreak, Israel wants to allow travel to almost all countries again.

The USA, Great Britain and Switzerland should also be removed from the list of “red” countries, according to ORF. The responsible ministry also pointed out that in many countries the number of infections is higher than in Israel, which is why one should “not travel there without good reason”. Israel initially imposed strict travel restrictions after the Omicron variant of the corona virus was discovered. In the opinion of experts, however, these are no longer helpful because Omikron has now also spread rapidly within Israel.
