As of May 1st, Italy abolished the obligation to fill out the digital Passenger Locator Form before entering the country. However, the 3G entry regulations have been extended.
The digital entry declaration was previously part of the Corona rules for more than a year for all travelers to Italy. From now on, the southern European country will only require proof of vaccination, recovery or a negative test for crossing the border; children under the age of six are exempt from the obligation to provide proof. Anyone who cannot comply with the 3G rule must go into quarantine for five days, inform the health department of the holiday region and have a corona test carried out at the end of the isolation. This is reported by Check 24. Austria's southern neighboring country has not loosened all the screws, quite the opposite: the applicable rules for entry have been extended until May 31, 2022.
