At the Italian airports of Pisa and Florence, security personnel have been called on June 25, 2022 to go on strike. The current plan is to stop work between 11:00 a.m. and 15:00 p.m.
The industrial action was officially registered with the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, which published it on the Italian strike dashboard. Unless the work stoppages are canceled at short notice, significant restrictions on air traffic are to be expected.
Especially at the security check, there could be extremely long waiting times. It can be assumed that some airlines could cancel their connections to Florence and Pisa or operate them later. People with tickets to these two airports should keep an eye on the situation and check with their airline about the current status of their booking.
