Zurich-Kloten Airport was used by 2021 passengers in January 287.767. This means that Switzerland's largest airport recorded a decline of 86 percent compared to the same month last year.

The number of local passengers fell by 2021 percent to 84,5 travelers in January 229.080. The share of transfer passengers was 19,7 percent (-11.4 percentage points compared to the previous year) and the number of transfer passengers fell by 91,6 percent to 56.342.

73 percent fewer flight movements were also counted. 5.553 take-offs or landings were carried out. The average utilization of the machines was 79,4 passengers, 34,6 percent below the previous year's level. The load factor deteriorated by 26,3 percentage points to 45,6 percent.

A total of 23.685 tons of freight were handled at Zurich Airport in January. This corresponds to a decrease of 29 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.
