Japan Airlines orders Boeing 737 Max 8

The Japanese airline Japan Airlines plans to increase the number of Boeing aircraft in its fleet.

The Japan Airlines fleet consists largely of aircraft manufactured by Boeing, but aircraft manufactured by Airbus are also included. According to the announcement, the Japanese airline has submitted an order to the manufacturer Boeing. The order includes 21 Boeing 737 Max 8 aircraft, which are expected to join the fleet in 2026 with the aim of replacing some Boeing 737-800s.
