The British Jet2 ceases to operate due to travel restrictions imposed by the United Kingdom government. The company announced that the not entirely voluntary break will last until March 25, 2021. The package travel offers from Jet2 Holidays are also affected.

The UK government's measures are currently limited to mid-February 2021. However, the airline is apparently expecting an extension. For trips after March 26, Jet2 announced that it would release an update as soon as a clearer picture of what happened. It is the second complete cessation of Jet2 operations caused by the pandemic. The carrier left all aircraft on the ground for four months between March 17 and July 15, 2020.
