Originally it was only communicated that Jetblue would fly to London Heathrow. Company boss Robin Hayes has now let the cat out of the bag: Gatwick is also connected to New York JFK. This means that the low-cost airline will fly to the two largest airports in the United Kingdom with an Airbus A321LR.

The first long-haul flight in the company's history has been announced for August 11, 2021. The London route planned from Boston is not due to open until summer 2022. Originally, Jetblue wanted to start this in autumn 201. The carrier did not justify the decision.

While Heathrow flights will start on August 11, 2021, the start date for Gatwick has been set for September 29, 2021. Tickets are already on sale and can be booked in advance for a long time. In any case, Jetblue is convinced that the dual strategy in London should be the right way to go.
