On the last day of 2020, the low-cost airline JetBlue took delivery of its first of a total of 70 Airbus A220-300s. The final assembly of this machine took place in the US factory in Mobile.

The medium-haul jet is registered N3008J and has been transferred to New York JFK Airport. With this model, JetBlue replaces the 60-unit Embraer 190 sub-fleet. The cabin is to be presented to the public in January 2021. However, the carrier promises that these should be impressive. JetBlue also wants to open up new routes with the Airbus A220.
