Jetsmart launches new subsidiary airline in Colombia

The low-cost airline Jetsmart intends to launch an offshoot in Colombia under the name Jetsmart Colombia. This is currently in the approval process.

It is expected that from summer 2024 the company will be flying under its own AOC within Colombia and also operating international routes. According to our own information, we are currently able to stick to the schedule we have set ourselves.

The re-establishment is also a reaction to the loss of Viva Air Colombia, as the former low-cost airline had to file for bankruptcy. Jetsmart believes that there is great potential and demand for low cost flights to/from and within Colombia.
