The Canadian government is planning to lift the Covid-19 vaccination requirement for entry, effective September 30, 2022. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has not yet officially commented on this.
Several major daily newspapers, citing various government sources, report that the Covid 19 vaccinations required for entry into the country are to be lifted as of September 30, 2022. This would allow Canada, which currently has particularly strict entry regulations, to relax the rules significantly.
The random entry corona tests are also to be abolished. The use of the ArriveCAN app, which is currently still mandatory, will only be voluntary in the future, but no longer mandatory. Official statements from the Canadian government are expected in the next few days.
