The tourism group Tui plans to reschedule part of the state aid granted by the German federal government. Up to 162,3 million new shares are to be issued for this purpose. The proceeds are to be used in full to repay the "Silent Participation II".
Tui AG wants to issue the share certificates at a price of EUR 2,62 each and thus take in around EUR 425 million gross. In this way, part of the “Silent Participation II”, which amounts to 671 million euros, would be repaid.
In the course of the corona pandemic, the German federal government repeatedly gave the travel group financial support. The current credit line granted by the KfW bank is to be reduced by EUR 336 million to around EUR 2,1 billion. Tui AG has carried out repeated capital increases in recent months.
