On January 29, 2022, the German Federal Armed Forces, in cooperation with the airport and the Johanniter, are carrying out a vaccination campaign in an Airbus A400M of the Air Transport Squadron 62 from Wunstorf at Kassel-Calden Airport.

The vaccinations are administered on board the military transport aircraft. The vaccination campaign takes place near the tower on the general aviation apron. Anyone wishing to be vaccinated can now book one of the coveted appointments for first, second and booster vaccinations on the Kassel-Calden Airport website sign in.

The initiators want to administer over 500 vaccinations that day. Unfortunately, an inspection of the aircraft outside of the vaccination is only possible from the airport fence. The two mRNA vaccines are vaccinated, whereby people under the age of 30 are primarily vaccinated with Corminaty (BioNtech), older people with Spikevax (Moderna). The vaccinations of 5-11 year olds are carried out by a paediatrician. Appointments will be made for January 29, 2022 between 10:00 a.m. and 18:00 p.m. One Online pre-registration is mandatory.
