The Supervisory Board of Kassel Airport has unanimously elected Hessian State Secretary of Finance Uwe Becker as its new Chairman.

Becker succeeds Martin Worms, who has held this position since mid-2020. Becker emphasized the importance of Kassel Airport as an important infrastructure project for northern Hesse. He emphasized that the airport not only acts as an employer, but also contributes to the establishment of aviation-related companies in Calden, which also create jobs and pay taxes. The airport plays a central role in regional development, supported by the new commercial area. Sven Schoeller, Mayor of Kassel, and Andreas Siebert, District Administrator of the Kassel district, remain deputies on the supervisory board.
