The newly founded Air Ocean Airlines has officially started scheduled flight operations. From the home base in Kiev-Schuljany you can now fly to Zaporozhye and Lviv. Thereby you enter into direct competition with Motor Sich Airlines or, to Lviv, also with the low-cost airline Bees Airlines.
First of all, Air Ocean Airlines wants to develop a dense domestic network. Flights to Chernivtsi are also planned from Kiev-Shulyany. From Lviv one wants to fly to Dnipro and Kharkiv. Internationally, the Kiev Shulyany-Amman and Chernivtsi-Istanbul routes are planned.
The new carrier's fleet consists of two Antonov Аn-148-100-Е. These have 75 seats and were made in Ukraine. The competitor Motor Sich Airlines flies with old turboprop aircraft of the type Antonov An-24. This carrier competes from Kiev-Schuljany on the routes to Zaporizhia and Lviv. In addition, Bees Airlines with Boeing 737-800 competes in the last-mentioned city.
